My sons are keeping me busy this morning, so let's get straight into the prompt. We're going to write an apology poem. You can apologize for ending a relationship, breaking a chair, or maybe you can even apologize for not being apologetic.

Here's my poem for the day:

Because the day was nice. . . 
Because I opened the window. . . 
Because I left for a run. . . 
Because there was an unexpected shower. . . 
Because the birds were driven inside. . . 
Because the rain followed them in. . . 
Because I decided to splash through puddles. . . 
Because you beat me home. . .
