2021 November PAD Chapbook Challenge: Day 8
For the 2021 November PAD Chapbook Challenge, poets are tasked with writing a poem a day in the month of November before assembling a chapbook manuscript in the month of December. Today’s prompt is to write a Blank of the Blank poem.
Just like that we're starting up week two of the November Poem-A-Day Challenge. Let's keep the poems coming.
For today's prompt, take the phrase "(blank) of the (blank)," replace the blanks with a new word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles might include: "Creatures of the Night," "Lines of the Poem," "Days of the Week," and/or "Author of the Book."
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Blank of the Blank Poem:
“thought of the day”
sometimes i'm not sure
what i'm thinking
it's like the thoughts
just run out on me
but then there are days
when they are everywhere
all at once and letting me know
where they are and what
they are up to and why
i should call them
the thought of the day
but there are too many
for me to pick just one
and so nothing gets done
and when someone asks me
i tell them i don't know
what it was i was thinking
