Revenge
Every writer needs a little inspiration once in a while. For today’s prompt, write about revenge.
I know what you're thinking ... did I upload the wrong photo for this week's prompt?
No, friends, I did not. I've recently read the novel Pearl by Josh Malerman, and as someone who grew up on a hog farm, there were many things about the novel that spoke to me.
I once had a pig who hated me. He was a runt we got for a good price, and he was squat and pink and had the beadiest eyes I've ever seen on a pig. And he was mean. His favorite pastime was stalking me in the field and then shoving me into the electric fence when I least expected it. He was big and mean and I avoided him at all cost.
So, for this week, I'm thinking about Pearl and that pig from my childhood when I say that we should write about revenge.
