How Can I Help You?

Every writer needs a little inspiration once in a while. For today’s prompt, your character is a high-end retail salesperson.

One of the hardest jobs I've ever done was working retail—though working in kitchens is pretty high up on that list. But lately, I've been thinking about customers and the way salespeople put on a persona to make those sales (and put up with the public).

For today's prompt, your character is a high-end retail salesperson. How does their persona change with clients? What does their worst day on the job look like?

Post your response (500 words or fewer) in the comments below.
