Build Your Poetry Writing Skills

Publish date:

Build your poetry writing skills working with a published poet in the six-week Advanced Poetry Writing course offered by Writer's Digest University. The workshop will consist of six one-week sessions, focused on feedback and critique.

Sign up today.

At the beginning of each session, you will submit an original poem to the instructor for review. There will be no lectures, reading assignments or exercises for this workshop, but you'll receive plenty of tips and reminders along the way. Because you will be expected to submit your work at the beginning of each session, you should have at least three poems ready for submission prior to the class start date, and three more ready to submit at the appropriate time.

The main benefit of this course is that you'll receive detailed feedback on your writing from an instructor who has spent a career working on the craft and finding publication success. The instructor for the upcoming workshop is Elizabeth Huergo.
