- Above: Edgar Award winners Ruth Rendell, Lawrence Block, Peter Blauner, and others discuss their writing and what they consider the ultimate reward for penning a great mystery novel.
- StoryADay May Writing Challenge. This is an annual event where you write a story a day in May. You can define what "every day" means for you (e.g., if you need to take weekends off), but it's a perfect opportunity to apply some structure to your writing life. There is a community built around StoryADay, and daily writing prompts are offered.
- New class on how to start an e-mail newsletter. My next online class with Writer's Digest is coming up on May 12. It's all about getting started with free e-mail newsletters. Read more and sign up.
- Cool online profile tool. I just discovered this new service, About.me. It allows you to create a simple landing page about yourself that' beautiful and indicates where you're active online. Really digging it. Click here to see mine (in progress).
