Nancy Bernhard

Nancy Bernhard is an historian and yoga teacher whose debut novel The Double Standard Sporting House will be released on January 20, 2026 by She Writes Press. She attended Dartmouth College and earned a Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania, taught at many universities including Harvard, and is the author of US Television News and Cold War Propaganda (Cambridge University Press). Her research into the lives of American war correspondents found surprising overlap with her yoga practice, leading to specialized training and work on the mat with trauma survivors. www.nancybernhard.com
