Jean-Pierre Lacroix

Jean-Pierre Lacroix is president of Shikatani Lacroix Design (SLD), a global branding and design agency known for bold, future-forward customer experiences. A pioneer in experiential branding, Lacroix coined the term “Blink Factor” over 30 years ago to describe the emotional snap judgments that drive consumer decisions. With more than 35 years at SLD’s helm, he’s led brand transformations for major retailers, consumer brands, and financial institutions worldwide. He was among the first to integrate digital signage, virtual reality, and neuroscience testing into retail strategy. Lacroix is the author of ThinkBlink Manifesto (May 2025), a call to arms for brands to lead with emotional relevance, and coauthor of the bestselling The Business of Graphic Design. He lives in Toronto and splits his time between Canada and Shanghai.
