Ed Southern

Ed Southern is editor of the anthology The Devil’s Done Come Back: New Ghost Tales from North Carolina (2025, Blair) and the author of Fight Songs: A Story of Love and Sports in a Complicated South (2021, Blair), a finalist for the 2022 SIBA Southern Book Prize. His work has appeared in The Bitter Southerner, the North Carolina Literary Review, Salvation South, the Asheville Poetry Review, storySouth,  PineStraw, South Writ Large, Wake Forest Magazine, and elsewhere. A North Carolina native, since 2008 he has been the executive director of the North Carolina Writers’ Network.
