Ann E. Lowry

Ann E. Lowry: "I've been writing since childhood. During junior high, after hanging out with friends, I'd often return home and sit at my typewriter (which definitely shows my age!) to pen opinion pieces on worldly matters, especially injustices. You will find my writing filled with themes related to this. As life led me towards practical pursuits, I pursued degrees in Communication and eventually settled into academia, primarily writing non-fiction. Semi-retirement provided the chance to pursue a long-held dream: to delve into the life of my great-great aunt. "The Blue Trunk" tells her story. While much of it is fictional, I relished imagining the life I wished she had, rather than the one she likely lived. I hope you enjoy reading about Marit's life as much as I enjoyed creating it. When I am not writing, I work occasionally as an organizational development consultant. I also still teach one class at the University of Minnesota. In my free time, I'm out in nature, spending time with family, cooking, playing music, reading, enjoying friends, swimming and taking walks with my fur baby, Loki." Learn more at www.annlowry.com.
