Indiana native James Alexander Thom has been writing historical fiction for more than 30 years. He is the author of Follow the River, Long Knife, From Sea to Shining Sea, Panther in the Sky and other historical novels. His work has appeared in the Indianapolis Star and the Saturday Evening Post. He is also a lecturer for the Indiana University School of Journalism.
As winner of the Indiana Author Award for the national author category Thom will be recognized at the Award Dinner on September 26, 2009 at Central Library in Indianapolis, along with the National Author Finalists.
Thom is also author of the forthcoming The Art & Craft of Writing Historical Fiction from Writer's Digest Books.
