All the pretty horses line up for me I say
Bring me back my love who is now so far away
Charge through the winter, charge through the snow
Don’t stop until the warmth of the sun starts to glow
Everyone is waiting, waiting for the return of my love
For him, I wait with the patience of a gentle little dove
Glory, I behest you and beg you to deliver
He who I have given myself to until the day that I might wither
I have lived alone for many days, it has been to long
Just a day shy of forever and I’m ready to change my song
Killing me is the time that’s wasted waiting…and waiting…
Love is too great to lie dormant, asleep and ever fading
My spirit is waning, depleting, with every passing day
Nothing will change until my loneliness is chased away
OH hear me cry through the night and know that I am dying
Please, please send him home to me, my horses, please be flying
Queens are supposed to be strong but I’ve never felt so weak
Rise above or fall below, do what I must, but I cannot speak
Shall I retire to my chambers until the day you return comes to pass
To hide away and shield myself from every lamb and every lass?
Unless you come back to me soon, my hope will fade and fade
Violins! Do I hear playing…what sorrow should happiness trade?
What joyful song is drifting on the wind that beckons for me?
Xylophones and drums, too, calling for me to come and see!
Yea, is it true? Is it true what is before me, my love has come again?
Zeal and determination. That is what has brought my suffering To End.
