For nearly 100 years, Writer’s Digest has been the go-to resource for all things writing and getting published. With our magazines, books, online education, and a bevy of online resources and services—we’ve never been more accessible to more writers across all genres and experience levels.
In 2018, we’re also making our conferences more accessible! Whether you’re on the East or West Coast, or living in the Midwest, there’s a Writer’s Digest event ready to meet your needs.
In New York City, from August 10-12, we’re hosting our Writer’s Digest Annual Conference. With a trifecta of New York Times bestselling keynote speakers—Cassandra Clare, Walter Mosley and Jeff VanderMeer—the ever-popular Pitch Slam, and a customizable schedule featuring five insightful tracks covering the craft and business of writing, WDC18 offers everything you need to advance your writing career creatively and professionally. This year, we’ve also added three pre-conference intensive workshops focused on writing novels, comics and graphic novels, and screenplays.
If the Big Apple isn’t your thing or your summer plans are already booked, join us from September 29-30 in our hometown of Cincinnati for indieLAB—our newest conference curated especially for entrepreneurial authors, freelance writers and small independent publishers. Focused specifically on the business side of writing, you’ll learn how to develop a publishing strategy, build a platform, grow an audience and get paid for your work.
Finally, if you’re looking to take your novel to another level, plan to join us in Pasadena, Calif. later this fall, October 26-28 for the Writer’s Digest Novel Writing Conference. Featuring sessions from bestselling writers, agents and editors, you’ll hone your craft, learn how to create three-dimensional characters, sharpen your genre-specific skills, and prepare for what comes after you’ve written your novel.
Whatever your writing goals may be, Writer’s Digest is here to support you. We hope to see you in person later this year at one of our can’t miss events!
