Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 592
For today's prompt, write a winter poem. Winter means many things for many people. The days are shorter, and the nights are longer. Temperatures are lower. Some love this time of year; others can't wait for summer to return. Here's your chance to share what winter means to you.
(Also, here are some of my favorite winter poems for inspiration and entertainment.)
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Winter Poem:
“snow,” by Robert Lee Brewer
my children ask if it's coming,
and i feel like i should say yes,
because i want big flakes falling
in the yard, but i can only guess,
like every year, if it will or won't,
so i want to say yes, but don't.
