Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 579
For today's prompt, write a with you poem. I think the past couple years have really spotlighted things we do with (or without) others. Also, we've seen the compromises and tensions involved with doing things together. So this week, write a poem with another person, place, or thing in whatever way you wish.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a With You Poem:
“Chip Bag,” by Robert Lee Brewer
I find you at the grocery store in the aisle
with the toaster pastries and juice boxes
but I don't give them a second look because
I can't wait to get you home and rip you open
while I pick something to watch on Netflix
or Prime or some other video streaming service
and anyway it doesn't matter what I watch
as much as reaching deep inside you and
eating my heart out to my heart's content.
