Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 565
For today's prompt, write a news poem. That is, take a story from the news and use it as inspiration for your poem. You could write about the actual news event or issue, or you could write a response poem to the news. Or write a persona poem as someone involved in the news. Also, the news could be local, regional, national, international, or universal news.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a News Poem:
“Darwin's Arch,” by Robert Lee Brewer
Like something that evolves over time
it was bound to give way, I suppose,
to elements and erosion--a total collapse.
(Here's a link to the news that inspired this week's poem.)
