Wednesday Poetry Prompts: 564
For today's prompt, write a disappointment poem. Everyone has experienced disappointment at one point in their life or another. Sometimes it's not getting the job you wanted, but it could also be not getting that last piece of chocolate cake. Just ask William Carlos Williams about what happened to those plums.
Remember: These prompts are springboards to creativity. Use them to expand your possibilities, not limit them.

Here’s my attempt at a Disappointment Poem:
“early riser,” by Robert Lee Brewer
the robin hopped around the front yard
and then the back. it came early,
but there were no worms to be found
before it took flight for somewhere else.
