What is WritersDigest.tv?

WritersDigest.tv was launched in 2008 to provide online instructional and informational videos from leading writers. The videos are streamed to WritersDigest.tv members so that they can be viewed 24/7 from any computer with a high-speed internet connection without requiring software downloads. You can choose to subscribe to any of our individual videos for a 6-month period or you can subscribe to a single series of WritersDigest.tv videos for a 6-month period. Do I need to have a high-speed internet connection to use WritersDigest.tv?

Yes. In order to have a satisfactory viewing experience with the 40+ minute videos offered at WritersDigest.tv, you’ll need to have a high-speed internet connection, typically Cable, DSL or satellite dish.

Most end user access problems are due to connectivity issues on the user side. Even on a high-speed connection, a CPU or RAM resource issue on the client system can cause issues or slowdowns. We have found that one thing a user might try is to clear their browser cache, check their system resources, and/or reboot if need be.

We also often direct people to http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/. This site performs a speed test of the user system, and sometimes reveals a connectivity issue (for example, if a shared cable line becomes bogged down, etc).

What are the options available for purchasing and viewing a video?

There are two ways to view a video, both offering 6 months of unlimited viewing:
1) You can purchase a 6-month subscription that gives you unlimited viewing of all videos in a series for a 6 month period for $69.99. For more information, click the “Buy Subscription” link shown at the top of every page.
or
2) You can purchase a 6 month subscription offering unlimited viewing to any individual video for as low as $14.99. Click the individual series link at the top of every site page for more information or to place your order.

Is there a limit on how many times I can view a video?

No. You can view a video as many times as you like during the 6 month term of your subscription regardless of whether you purchased any individual video or chose to subscribe to all videos in a series.

If I choose to subscribe to a series for 6 months, will I get to see new videos that are added after I submit my order?

Yes. For the time period while your subscription is in effect, you’ll be able to view all new videos that we’ll add to that particular series.

How often are new videos added?

We plan to add at least two new videos every month from leading writers across a variety of genres.

How can I contact you for questions, comments or requests to cancel my subscription

If you want to contact us for any reason, please send an email to customer-service@writersdigest.tv. In your email message, please provide us with your full contact information including your day-time phone number and the name and address used when placing your order. The more detailed you are in your email correspondence to us, the more quickly we can reply back with the appropriate information.

Can I get a refund if I want to cancel my subscription?

Yes. If you notify us via email at customer-service@writersdigest.tv within 7 days of the date you placed your order, we will refund your full purchase amount. Refunds, including partial refunds, are not granted if you choose to cancel your order beyond 7 days of the transaction date. We can only issue a refund to the same credit card you used when placing your order. To ensure we can look up your order and account information, please include your full contact information along with the name, address and last four numbers of the credit card you used when placing the order you want refunded. To help us improve our service to writers, please indicate why you wish to cancel your order.


What happens when my subscription expires?

When your subscription expires, you’ll no longer have access to any of the workshops included in your original purchase. However, you can easily renew your subscription prior to the expiration date or simply place a new order on the site to continue to access your favorite videos.

How can I change my email address or password?

To change your email address, just click the “My Account” link at the top right of every page and then click the “Change your email address or password” link. You will then be asked to log into your account. From there you can modify the email address tied to your subscriptions with WritersDigest.tv.

How can I change the credit card I use for purchases?

To change your credit card settings, just click the “My Account” link at the top right of every page and then click the “View your credit card settings” link. You will then be asked to log into your account. From there you can modify your options. To finish, click the “Save” button to update your account.

How can I change my contact information?

To change your contact information, just click the “My Account” link at the top right of every page and then click the “Change contact information” link. You will then be asked to log into your account, if you are not already logged in. From there you can modify your name and address information and click the “Save” button to update your account with the new information. 

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept the following major credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Is this a secure site for ordering?

Yes. When entering your credit card information to make a purchase, your credit data is secured using PayPal’s VeriSign Secured transaction process. PayPal is one of the most trusted providers of online payment processing on the Internet. Please note that your full credit card number is never stored on our servers. For added security, our employees never have access to your full credit card number.

Can I share a link to your video workshops with friends, on Internet video or file sharing sites?

Because the writers who conduct WritersDigest.tv video workshops are paid a royalty with each purchase, we do not allow customers to share a link to a video.
