Essentials of Travel Writing on Writer’s Online Workshop

Whether you’re an armchair traveler or a frequent flyer, get the skills you need to share your knowledge.

Two values to keep in mind: weave in prices when relevant, and give as many pointers/tips on what readers should consider doing or not doing as you can. Keep in mind that you’re not limited to just what you saw, where you ate, where you stayed, what you bought, etc. You can focus on your own experiences, but then give readers more pertinent options about key categories such as sightseeing, dining, accommodations, etc. If two attractions are near each other, suggest to the reader that they can both be seen during the same morning or afternoon. Advise the reader how much time they might give to visiting any attraction.
