Welcome to Our New Home

Welcome to the brand new WritersDigest.com! From this hub, you can view hundreds of articles, tips, writing prompts, videos and more from Writer’s Digest. You can also join our online communities, find back issues, explore our writer resources and enter our competitions!

The new site was designed with the writer in mind—our articles are now categorized according to category and genre. It underwent a total overhaul, so we’d like to walk you through how our new site works.

You can browse our article archives by clicking on Get Published, Write Better, Get Creative on the left end of the red navigation bar, or choosing a genre from the drop-down menu. You can also search for a keyword or phrase in the search box in the upper right corner.

Learn more about our Writer’s Digest online forum by clicking on Community in the red navigation bar. From there you can connect and network with other writers from around the world!

We’ve rounded up our blogs in the Blogs tab of the navigation bar. Click on Audio/Video to watch footage of experts in the publishing industry. And check out Writer’s Resources for ways to enhance your writing career.

Clicking on the Magazines tab of the navigation bar will take you to the current issue of Writer’s Digest, where you can purchase personal and gift subscriptions. You can also check out Writer’s Digest Books, Writer’s Digest Competitions (home of the Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition), Writer’s Market (your online guide to agents and markets), Writers Online Workshops and the Writer’s Digest Shop, where you can purchase past issues, digital products, books and more.

You can see what articles are newest to the site (Most Recent) in the green box on the right, and if you click the Most Popular tab, you can see which stories the most people are reading. If you come across an article you’d like to share with a fellow writer (via e-mail), bookmark to your browser or print, you can click on those options in the green box above Most Recent/Most Popular.

At the bottom of the page, we get down to the nitty-gritty with information on who we are, how to contact us and advertise with us.

In the coming weeks, we will be adding more articles, tweaking the site and making adjustments. Please be patient with us as we wrap things up. We hope you enjoy the new site!

Brian A. Klems is the online managing editor of Writer’s Digest.
