Join me (& others) for an Exclusive Twitter Chat Wednesday June 29!

We’re packing the house at the Writer’s Digest Annual Conference in New York this August 12-14, and we want you to take up one of the final spots. To get a sneak peek at some of the valuable advice that’ll be delivered at the conference, we’re hosting a live Twitter chat next Wednesday, June 29 at 7 p.m. ET, and then on Thursday June 30, there will be a major Twitter Manuscript Wishlist (#MSWL) Day when top agents – many of whom will be at the Writer’s Digest Pitch Slam – will share their wishes for manuscripts they’d like to read. Anyone and everyone can join in the chat. Here’s how it will work:

Starting at 7 p.m. Eastern, moderator Porter Anderson (@Porter_Anderson) will be joined by me, Brian Klems (@BrianKlems), Agent Jessica Sinsheimer (@jsinsheim) and Author KK Hendin (@KKHendin). We’ll be answering writing questions, offering up tips and chatting about everything you can look forward to at the conference, including insiders’ takes on the sessions you can’t miss. Use the hashtags #MSWL and #WDC16 to follow along, join the conversation and say a virtual hello to some of your conference speakers.

The strategy here for authors is simple:

  • Register fast for the Writer’s Digest Annual Conference (#WDC16) because three of the four Pitch Slam sessions already have sold out – it’s that popular!
  • Chat with us on Twitter on the eve of the big #MSWL Day to talk with folks from MSWL and Writer’s Digest, then
  • Learn the next day during #MSWL Day what agents are looking for: this way, you can target your pitch at the #WDC16 Pitch Slam to precisely the right agents.
  • Manuscript Wish List® will be flagging the agents for you who are registered to participate in the Twitter chat and #MSWL Day, to help you sort out which agents are the best audience for your pitch.

Learn more about the folks involved with this Twitter chat below.

Don’t Delay.

BE SURE TO JOIN US ALL THREE TIMES:

  • Twitter chat live at 7 p.m. ET June 29 to get all your questions answered by Writer’s Digest and Manuscript Wishlist
  • #MSWL day June 30, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. (3 p.m. to 9 p.m. GMT, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT.)
  • Writer’s Digest’s Annual Conference, August 12-14, New York’s Hilton Midtown. Last year’s event was incredible, and we’re looking forward to an even bigger and better experience this year. See you then!

About Jessica and KK at Manuscript Wish List (#MSWL)

Jessica-Sinsheimer

KK Hendin

Chat guests Jessica Sinsheimer (Sarah Jane Freymann Literary) and KK Hendin are the founders of Manuscript Wish List. Manuscript Wish List or #MSWL (as it’s known on Twitter) is used to let writers know what agents, editors, and publishers want in their slush pile.

In other words, during #MSWL, authors don’t pitch agents and editors; instead they follow along and learn what those agents and editors are looking for. Many agents who have made requests during #MSWL will be at the Writer’s Digest Conference. So, you can consider this Twitter chat your inside track on how to use the Wish List to your advantage! They’ll be announcing their next event during the chat Tuesday night, so remember to use the hashtags #MSWL & #WDC15 in all your tweets and to follow along.
