I submitted an article to a magazine, and it was rejected. If I write a new article, how long should I wait before submitting it to the same editor? I don’t want to look unprofessional.

Send it when it’s ready to be sent. A professional keeps writing and submitting, regardless of rejections. Good luck.

Resubmit when the article is ready. Good is good, even if it comes in the next day, and bad is bad, even if the writer waits six months to submit. Editors care about good, not about time.

And it’s sometimes weeks or months before an editor actually reads a piece you submit tomorrow.

Unless the editor has a request like ‘Please wait 7 days after a rejection’, then you can submit right away.
