I hAVE heard that one’s query letter or proposal should provide a summary of one’s publishing history.

I have been published, but on only about 5 times and the most recent four pieces were published 5 years ago. The best piece, the piece I was paid for and which was in a national magazine, was published before the world went digital.

Given this record, should I omit any mention of my publishing history.

    All advice appreciated

I would include in any query whatever would help convince the editor that I could do the job if he liked the topic pitched.

Also include anything else that would qualify you to do the piece in question.

If you were paid by a national magazine, IMHO, you should definitely list that.
