**After my devotion this morning I felt such a yearning to share this bit of joy God placed in my heart.
    Critique welcome!

God created the earth by wisdom
    and understanding, He called
    wisdom “Her” and in many
places referred to wisdom as “She.”

    With that in mind, wisdom
Must be a gentle strength like
    A mother birthing her baby,

    With sweetness and tender love
    He formed every mountain,
    planted all the trees, lovingly
    set out beautiful flowers, formed
the creeks and rivers that flow
    into the vaunted sea,

By a gentle caress He kissed
the foundation in the Garden of
    Eden to sweeten the ground
    for Adam and Eve;

With a happy smile He opened
the depth of the sea where clouds
could drop dew and rain, by
    understanding, He established
    the heavens for you and for me;

I may not be real smart but
    I’m glad God called wisdom
    a “Her and a She”.

    [Scripture reference: Proverbs 3]

    Hi Angel
I came back, and really enjoyed it once again.

I like it just the way it is. 🙂

What beautiful visuals Angel. I could meditate on this:)

You’ve inspired me to go read Proverbs 3 again,

🙂 Thanks Lisa and Elizabeth, I appreciate your comments and I’m glad it gave you something to meditate on Eliziabeth. I have been studying in Proverbs for the past few days and asking God for a deeper insight to understanding the way the Word was written and I was just really inspired when I noticed that “Wisdom” was always referred to as Her or She. So, I formed my own opinion of God creating in the gentle strength of a woman. He loves us girls too! 🙂

    Angel,
I feel like I’ve just had my morning devotionals. 🙂
Very nice and very true. This gives me some food for thought today.
Just one minor point, I hope you don’t mind.
“the creeks and rivers that flow into the vaulted sea” – vaulted has a definition of “having a hemispherical vault or dome”. Perhaps you meant “vaunted” or some other similar word?
Once again, I enjoyed this poem. Thanks for sharing this wisdom with us men, too. 🙂

the feel to this meditation to me is in the wholeness of the offering – He/she – gentle/strong – earth/sea –
just to mention a bit of it. Wisdom always somehow made of tender power. Very lovely and thoughtfu.

Thanks Fred for the info, and no I don’t mind when someone helps me with a word or the meaning of a word, etc. I will get my dictionary out and look up a more suitable word. Thanks for catching that and also for the nice comment. 🙂

Thanks Jane for the lovely comment and for reading. God is so many things that we can hardly mention them all, right? Love & Hugs!! 🙂

I like this, Angel Rose. Makes me wonder if maybe this is where the term Mother Earth came from.

Thanks Lyn for reading and your comment. You know that could be why it’s called Mother Earth, who knows? God is awesome and the more I read about His creation the sweeter He becomes to me~~~~:)
