I’ve never experienced writer’s block, but I have had frequent visits from the lazy dragon. 😀
What I have done in the three novels I’ve written is I started with an idea and wrote several notes on the beginning scenes and how I may want to end the novel. I then wrote several chapters in an opening scene. After that, I stepped back and decided where I wanted to go and start outlining. I like to go maybe ten chapters ahead in my outline as I’m writing. During the writing phase the story forms on my screen and I may either alter the outline as I make changes or add to the outline as I forge ahead.
