I finally got a call from the events planner, and the class is slated for sometime in January – I’ll know when early next week.
And I’ll be happyt to add some of the highlights on the blog.
It’s true that beginning writers never know (I sure didn’t) what a business writing is. They tend to be a bit annoyed and disconcerted when they’re told, too. LOL
What I wish someone had told me a lot sooner?
That they are competing for EVERY story slot with good writers, frequently the best. The importance of professional format. How hard and how important cover letters and query letters. What slush readers look for. How really tough it is to be good ENOUGH.
EXCELLENT advice. Thanks for your input!
