j_joshi – 2008-06-27 12:35 PM If someone tells me that I motivated them to go out and learn, or that I inspired them. That’s a really special feeling. I had one teenage girl tell me that she felt herself getting stronger as she read my book. That made me cry. Jai
How cool, Jai – that is a wonderful comment.
Lisa, I got that fan email when I was standing in a library in Huntsville AL. The guy next to me asked me why I was crying and so I showed the email to him. It was so cool.
I thought it was nice that people liked how you interview them. I’ve been interviewed a couple of times and I have to say that it does make a difference who does it. Kirby’s a wonderful interviewer, for example, because she’s relaxed and gentle but also focused. You get the feeling that she’s really interested in your responses and she knows where she’s going with them. I did an interview once where the guy didn’t have any direction or even any real questions. He was just throwing things out at me in a random fashion. That piece he wrote afterwards must have been a mess.
