Tera, it’s great that you put everything down on paper just the way it comes out of your head.
Most writing workshops tell you to do that.
Now you need to take out your chisel and start chipping everything away that isn’t a poem.
Seek word economy and direct hits with each word….weight every word of the poem with a task for communicating your thoughts.
One side bar: You don’t need a soothsayer to tell you your future. Look in the mirror…..the person looking back at you is the one who controls your future.
