kaymoon – 2009-09-30 8:22 AM This is going to be a great experience for you, Jai. Not only for you personally, but for your writing as well. I can’t imagine all you’ll see and learn. Take good care while you’re away and I can’t wait to hear all about it. I’ve always found traveling and experiencing different cultures a lavish resource for writing. And you don’t always have to travel far to glean great stuff. Every time I go to Louisiana, I take notes for an upcoming series set on a plantation. It’s such a unique area, both in setting, customs and people. Details are important to a story, they make it real for the reader. Have great fun. Take lots of notes and pictures. Most of all, enjoy spending time with your family. Cheers, Drain http://www.dorrainedarden.com Blogging@Free Ice Cream
Dorraine, Louisiana has got to be one of the most colourful places to write about in this whole country. One of my favourite stories from my book tour book comes from Louisiana. That place is gorgoeous and hilarious and so much fun. Like you say, it’s the details that matter.
