Let’s say MC has to check that windows are locked before leaving and when entering house. All 19 of them. Is there a way to subtley (sp?) work that into a story without dwelling on it, trivializing it, or psychoanalyzing it?
I think it’s important to be precise about your character. OCD is much more precise than “dysfunctional.” Heck, who among us is NOT dysfunctional from time to time? You’ve got some good examples of people with OCD right here who are generous enough to share their experiences with you. How cool is that?
