I admire and know Jimmy Carter is a Great Humanitarian. And I could go on to name many more, throughout history, that left this as their legacy.
But, I agree with you, we can offer our help, but we can’t force upon others what we think is in their best interest.
“God, helps those, who help themselves”
And if, I really want to get corney, refering to some of todays’ world wide events of helping people “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him drink it”
However, I do sympathize with the dilemma, that Jimmy Carter was facing, as I know his intentions too help were true from his heart. We can only hope there will be more intervention for his part, or that he has raised enough hope among these people, so they will try to stand stronger for their cause.
