Please excuse this small bit of sage advice, jmascia
I desperately wish this not to be taken as ‘preaching.’
However, my take on this ‘station in life’s railway,’ is that in all we do, especially those fortunate enough to be creative, evolves as we age. Therefore, what we thought of as brilliant a year ago, when subjected to our evolved abilities and understanding, is usually judged too harshly by us as a paltry effort.
Whenever learning any skill, one begins with no skill, but with patience and a desire to improve, we eventually achieve a masterful excellence, which most people believe we can perform with minimal exertion. Because, we make it look so easy.
That is why ancient leaders always chose their advisers and tutors from the elders.
Does that make any sense to you?
