I have to agree with James on this one.  I started out writing poetry in my early tweens, but that eventually morphed into short stories and essays, mainly because I realized I was just better at that.  Poets, good poets in any case, are to be admired and revered.  Though there is a lot out there that I truly don’t understand, I can’t imagine having gone through life without Frost, Browning, and especially Thoreau.
