Prose and Poetry, The difference between a simple daisy and an exotic orchid. When you look in the mirror what do you see? You? What do others see when they look at you? What do you hear when you speak? What do others hear when you speak. I can assure you you do not see or hear what they see or hear, and they don’t see or hear what you see and hear. Prose tells a a simple and clear story. Poetry paints a canvas to look at, and mull over. Does a passport photograph garner the same amount of intrest/insight as the portrait of Mona Lisa? With poetry you have to plug your brain, heart, soul, and senses in to be able to see what is there. It takes work. Jjust as digging out diamonds is hard work so is the hard work it takes to mine poetry. That’s my tuppence worth:) Elizabeth
