He only has to deal with it if individuals keep insisting on mentioning it. I don’t, so he won’t have to deal with it because of me.
Or if they look at his picture. He’s the spitting image of his dad, down to the beard and all.
I give him credit for trying to make his own name, but to think that his father’s influence (or advice) doesn’t give him a leg up is pretty naive. Yes, his writing will stand or fall on its own (and I like the premise of the story, definitely want to get it) but nepotism is an awfully big foot in a very small door.
Good for him though, seriously. I would love to have the leg up he does, and I’m hoping that he’s as talented as his father.
