Wonder if they took along Mars Bars? You would think the Mars people would be cashing in on this one.
One of my favorite singers/songwriters is Jack Gladstone, a Blackfoot Indian (wants to be called Indian) who often performs at Glacier and other national parks. One summer one of the astronauts was in his audience and decided to have his song, “When the world belonged to God” as one of the wake-up calls on a space mission. Go to jackgladstone.com and have a listen if you want. It is just an inspirational song and does make me think about the vast space out there and, “When the land belonged to God.” It is a title he borrowed from a legendary painting in the Montana Capital Building I think.
Jack does some traditional drumming, etc, but mostly his songs are about history, folk stories, and legends. If he ever gets your way, I highly recommend.
