Good question. Sometimes I find myself writing poems every day, it seems, and sometimes a week or two will go by without my writing anything. Partly it depends on where my head is at. If it’s, um, buried in the sand, then I’m not writing much. If it isn’t, I’m writing more. But I’m also writing more if I’m actively looking around for things to write about, and especially, as I think about it, if I’m *paying attention* to the poems or bits of poems or topics for poems that float in and out of my head. For me, I need to be, well, centered in myself is the best way I can put it, to write poetry. That said, yeah, the more I write, the more I find things to write about.
