This is what I am making the family this morning for breakfast:
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp vanilla powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup sugar
Heavy whipping cream – about 1 cup
1 tbsp Mexican Vanilla
(RESERVE 2-3 tbsp of blended liquid ingredients)
Blend dry ingredients; pour in liquid and stir just until moistened. If dough is dry, add additional heavy cream until dough holds together.
Turn out onto floured surface and pat down into a large circle about 2″ tall. Using a large knife, cut into slices like a pizza and place on a prepared baking sheet, rotating triangled pieces to fit. Brush remaining liquid on top of scones.
Bake at 400 until lightly browned, about 20 minutes. Enjoy.
