To answer your question, Deanna,

I make mine in the shape of a crescent.  After the dough is rolled out, I put Solo (brand name) Almond pie filling and walnuts spread over the dough.  Then they are rolled and shaped in a crescent.  I let them raise again and bake for about 20 minutes at 350.  When they’ve cooled I frost them with rum flavored powdered sugar frosting and top with three walnuts and two marschino cherries for a beautiful colorful holiday treat.  Your hubby is probably using a sweet dough, which this is also, so it would be easy for him to try a few of these with some of his dough.  YUMMMM.
