there are many scam artists out there… and it’s up to you to check out any you intend to query, to make sure they’re legit… you can be sure that anyone who contacts you is a scammer, since real agents don’t usually do that… always check them out at preditors & editors, first [ http://www.invirtuo.cc/prededitors/ ]… then take a good look at their websites, submission guidelines, and current clients’ works, to see if they’re any good at their job and look legit…

i doubt anyone will recommend an agent to you, for a variety of reasons… frst, because if any have an agent, they’ll only recommend writers whose work they think is good enough and fits their agent’s preferences… and also because no one but you knows what you have to offer and agents specialize, so you have to choose the ones who rep the kind of book you’ve written…

but i do have several good agents listings i’ll be glad to forward to you, if you drop me a line, and you can then find ones that fit what you have to offer… i can also take a look at your query letter and ms, to see if they’re up to professional levels and ready to be sent out…
