what jr said. the agent had nothing to do with that. and I’ll add, publishing isn’t just slow (they make snails look like they’re going at the speed of light) but the avg advance is very low. I’m suspecting it’s even less for a novella. Just suspecting, though. yes, you could be the exception, we all hope to be. but it’s always a prepare for the worst, hope for the best, and give it your all in publishing. I wish you luck!
