I always say don’t rehash anything unless you are specifically creating a chorus with a particular repeated phrase. It ultimately insults the reader’s intelligence. It’s like saying, “Just in case you didn’t get that, I’m going to repeat it for you.”

Palahniuk (in Fight Club, Survivor, Choke, etc.) uses the idea of a repeated chorus very well, if you want to check out an example of that.

Picoult (in The Plain Truth) changes POV very well without rehashing.

Those are the first two that come to mind.
