A little background info on the title: Grannie’s Gravy, A Memory Cookbook, is inspired by not only the fact that my grandmother made the best gravy and biscuits in the world, but also because I broke the gravy bowl that was passed down to me when she died. I was the sixth generation to use that bowl, and I broke it. The “main” story, if you will, in the book is about what happened to the pieces of that gravy bowl, nearly two years after I broke it. Unfortunately, I can’t post that particular story because it involves a certain HUGE talk show host, so I’m afraid I might get sued or something. 🙂
