Re: Prologue/Synopsis

As I read through my Writers Market book at all of the Publishers and Agents that are sure to be interested in my book some of them said, query, synopsis, first three chapters. My book has a very short prologue does that count as a chapter? They can understand the first chapter without it but it helps set the tone for my main character and the world she lives in. I guess it’s a heads up as to why everything is or isn’t the way it is… make sense? Should I include the prologue with the chapters or leave it out or count it as one of the chapters…

Not that I’ve written a query letter or a synopsis yet but I just love putting the cart before the horse, it makes such an interesting ride!!!
