[quote="robjvargas"]And now my "real" ID works. Looks like someone took a look, finally.

We'll see, I guess.[/quote]

I should check my old one - that's the one I prefer... :(

Nope, no luck. How do you rate? ;)

Glad to see your avatar back, Rob.
Read samples of my Martian series (by Dorothy Piper) and two romances (by Joni Havel) on Smashwords.
Hard copies of all are on Amazon.

Turns out, I don't. I just never logged out on one of my machines. That cached login still works. Try my login on a different computer, no luck.
Slowly putting together a "replacement" forum at

It's still under construction, but come take a look.

[quote="MPhillip"] Second change is the phpBBforum software is not working properly. Anything other than plain text entered in a prospective post and the software removes everything in the message so there are too few characters to preview or post it. Error messages also appear when opening threads. This is all indicative of an update gone bad possibly combined with some hardware problems that don't play well with the software. [/quote]

If you go to your profile you can turn off BBCode there - eliminates a lot of the frustrations, although not perfect. Also click "Do not automatically parse URLs" so you include links.

[quote="MPhillip"] Third, and another big ol' plus, the clique of more experienced writers who took so much glee in pounding less experienced writers seems to have diminished. There are still some of those nasty posts popping up but the quantity and severity appears to have been reduced. Maybe that's because the writers who want some help or want to contribute to the community just turned around and walk away, as I did, so there are fewer targets. No matter the reason it really is refreshing to see a lot less of it.[/quote]

I know some that were less "diplomatic" than others, but one reason I've stuck around so long (over 7 years now) is because it typically didn't get nasty as compared to some others I've been on (one notable exception but...). Before my time, perhaps?
