How long did it take to get your US Copyright Letter

Postby mikeyboy_esq » Tue May 30, 2017 11:21 am

Last week, I rec'd the US Copyright letter for my first book. It took about 7 months to get it. This was a little faster than I expected b/c I recall the instructions said it could take upto 9 months (for the electronic application option). I'm curious curious if other folks have rec'd your US Copyright letter in about the same amount of time, or did it take longer?

depends on their backlog
current priorities at LOC
time of budget cycle
whether you know somebody
....

you got it early which is good
9 months is realistic
