WHAT CAN YOU COMEUP WITH?

Postby LilliesCarol » Sun Sep 27, 2015 3:49 pm

I found this quip on my iphone, which made me laugh. Can you come up with something?

Irony is when someone writes your an idiot.
Long, long afterward in an oak I found the arrow still unbroke
And the song from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend

George Takei, the King of Facebook, recently responded to a troll who'd attempted to put George down in roughly the same manner but with not just one but THREE usage errors. George admonished him to do better next time and go back to his bridge.

Usage errors may mean the person who made them is an idiot. They do not, however, mean you aren't an idiot.

Just because someone lacking grammar skills says the sun comes up in the east does not mean he's wrong. This applies to all of us, including George Takei. I've never heard him called "the king of facebook", but I have heard him say some incredibly stupid things, and they remain stupid, even if an illiterate calls him on them.
