Ah, how age has effected us all!

I do not know if all you other great poets have noticed this. . . but has I have gotten older and more mature, so has my poetry. I believe to put it simply; When I was younger and had depression I wrote mediocre dark/morbid works. As I got older and came out of it, I wrote half dark with a redemptive side. Now as I am 16 and I write a little bit of dark, light and inspirational (More like emotional ballads) and of course my favorite type, controversial. Basically, I went from dark to light to controversial. It was like my words grew up along with me. Am I the only other person who has experienced this?

Not at all. I began writing poetry for the same reason you did. Your poetry grows with you. I still am morbid, there is no denying it, and it's good to find many things to write about. Some of us are more 'happy' poets while others tend to be 'darker' and others are political.....etc. You're in a phase. Keep writing!
