If you're looking for a trade publisher, more than likely you'll need an agent, although there are probably some smaller publishers who don't require them. I don't know what the market is like for poetry, so hopefully others more versed in that area can give you some help.

I'm not too familiar with poetry either, but you can try querytracker.net.

I'm not experienced with poetry, but my recollection is that the submission and acceptance process is significantly different from prose fiction. Just like with short stories, collections are very hard to get trade-published unless you have an established name in the genre (using that term very loosely here).

You might get an individual poem included in an anthology already slated for publication. Or get a few poems in magazines and similar outlets.

It's not impossible. But from what I understand, publishers have a very difficult time making a profit with individual author collections.

Can't hurt to try, I say. But know the odds.
