Publish your book for free on BookRix

Postby bookluvr817 » Tue Oct 16, 2012 7:32 am

BookRix.com helps authors publish their books and allows members to discuss their work and get feedback.

BookRix recently launched a free publishing service, so there is no more initial fee. Free of charge, they will distribute their author´s eBooks to over 60 external stores - including Amazon, Apple iBookstore, Kobo and Barnes and Nobles.

(Edited to remove spammy elements. I've had no response from the poster asking for clarification of his/her connection with this site. See link below for one person's take on this service -pls.)

Just the way it reads tells me it's spam.

Not only spam but most likely scam...

Overpromoted, perhaps, but not a scam; it's been around for over 4 years: http://accrispin.blogspot.com/2008/10/v ... brand.html.

And mentioned as dubious by Victoria.

Big question, as with all these dozens of clamboring publish portals, would be WHY?

Why do that instead of Kindle and Smashwords?

What it looks like is they are trying to build a base for the ads they place in your books.

Thanks Lin, this was driving me nuts trying to figure out the scam. No business can afford to 'publish' books for free. The money to pay the light and water bills has to come from somewhere. The placing of ads makes so much more sense.

Just my guess, based on Victoria's comments.

A little outdated the late post was years ago, the trouble with Victoria is many of her post are way out of date, and they relate to her own self published books in the adverts. its a bout time we had someone who has real clout and is up to date with their posts. publishers do and can change over time and revues need to reflect that, rather than an out of date post set in stone.
